UTZENAICH

The primary hub of our operations is in Utzenaich. What began as a public house and cattle trade eventually evolved into a slaughterhouse and cutting facility, starting its production when the company was founded in 1972. Presently, our Utzenaich location exclusively handles the slaughtering and cutting of cattle. Additionally, essential administrative functions like HR, Purchasing, and Finance are centralized here. Approximately 130 dedicated Grossfurtner employees operate from this 4,500 square meter site.

ST. MARTIN

The St. Martin site, spanning 11,000 square meters, stands as the largest within the Grossfurtner Group. Operational since 1995, this facility specializes in the slaughtering and cutting of pigs. Additionally, it houses the deep-freeze warehouse and serves as the central hub for goods picking and shipping. Currently, approximately 400 individuals are employed at the St. Martin location.

HIGELSBERGER GMBH – SCHWERTBERG

Since 2012, Higelsberger has been a part of the Grossfurtner Group. This specific location in Schwertberg focuses solely on slaughtering pigs, including the cutting of pig heads. Approximately 43 employees operate within the approximately 3,200 square meters of business space at Higelsberger under Grossfurtner.

 

LAMBRECHTEN

In March 2021, Grossfurtner acquired the Handlbauer site in Lambrechten. Following substantial refurbishment, it now hosts a cutting-edge production facility. As of February 2022, approximately 30 individuals are employed at this location.

MEAT AND EAT
GMBH –
ST. MARTIN

Another Grossfurtner facility is under construction in St. Martin. It will house operations for the subsidiary Meat and Eat GmbH, expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2022. This new site will focus on producing self-service products for retail once construction is finished. Approximately 50 employees will work in this new 3,000-square-meter facility upon its opening.

 
 
 

G&H LOGISTIK
GMBH – PASSAU

In 2021, the logistics facility in Passau was acquired by the Polish company Cedrop. This location operates a fully automated high-bay warehouse primarily for storing pork and beef. Additionally, the deep-freeze warehouses are currently utilized by other companies for storing food.
